Kaal Bhairav

Bhairava is what Shiva's wrath becomes. At Srikurmam, the one temple where Vishnu is worshipped as Kurma, it is Bhairava who stands guard at the gate, and the legend there says he stopped even Balarama from entering.

This frame is from the end of my short film, after the poison cloud, where everything comes out in his temple. I wanted the whole film to look like it was carved out of one material, so most surfaces share a dark bronze base and the mood comes from fog and light.
